Surry Coal Plant
If built, the Surry Coal Plant would be the largest coal fired power plant in Virginia, releasing 11.6 million tons of carbon dioxide annually, contributing to sea-level rise in Hampton Roads and climate change globally.
The pollutants emitted by the plant will damage the health of our citizens and our environment. Increasing smog pollution will affect our regional economy. Read the WCAN Surry Coal Plant Fact Sheet.
